Herrestaskolan is a multicultural F-6 school with about 400 students. Herrestaskolan is centrally located in the newly built Barkarbystaden in Järfälla. The building is environmentally certified, made entirely of wood, and has an inviting schoolyard. The school includes preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, after-school care, and leisure club. We are a medium-sized unit that is therefore in recurring need of substitutes who can quickly step in and replace regular staff in case of absence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

As a substitute teacher:

• Replace regular teachers at short notice.
• Follow instructions and lesson plans from regular staff - but also be prepared to improvise in cases where there is no planning.
• Write a brief report to the regular teacher at the end of the day.
• Lead and organize work in the classroom.
• Collaborate with other teachers and educators in the work team.

As a substitute in after-school care:

• Replace regular after-school educators at short notice.
• Collaborate with the teaching teacher in the class during the school day.
• Lead and organize work in after-school care together with regular staff.
• Collaborate with other after-school educators.

Duration: 3-6 months

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

We are looking for hourly substitutes for all grades in the school. We are seeking substitute teachers and after-school substitutes. As an applicant, you are expected to be genuinely interested in working with children and students. A requirement is that you master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Meritorious if:

• You have a pedagogical education at the high school or university level.
• You are studying to become a teacher or have another pedagogical or social focus.
• You have experience in similar work.
