Sports Strategist (temporary position)
We are now looking for a sports strategist for a temporary position until December 31, 2026. The position is placed in the sports department within the learning and culture administration, which is one of Lidingö city's six administrations. We work closely together to offer the residents of Lidingö a variety of activities and meeting places to contribute to a meaningful leisure time for increased well-being.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a sports strategist, you have a central responsibility for coordinating and developing work related to scheduling and booking facilities, contacts with associations, and utilization of sports facilities. The assignment includes both operational work and the development of methods related to the area. The work is carried out in close collaboration with a colleague with a corresponding assignment and in continuous cooperation with the sports department and other administrations within the city. The role involves a joint responsibility for coordinating tasks, developing methods, and ensuring a uniform and quality-assured handling.
The assignment requires good relationship-building skills and high communicative ability, both in dialogue with the association life, organizers, and external actors, as well as in collaboration with internal functions within the organization. The role includes a clear administrative responsibility and primary responsibility for designing, documenting, and managing routines, guidelines, and processes in the area. The work is based on political decisions, goals, and steering documents and aims to ensure equity, transparency, and quality.
The assignment also includes producing investigations, analyses, and decision-making materials related to the use, needs, and development of sports facilities and association activities. The role serves as an important link between operational activities and strategic development and contributes to long-term and sustainable solutions for the city's sports activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who enjoys working both operationally and strategically. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and collaborate well with both the association life and colleagues and other partners. Furthermore, you are structured, meticulous, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. At the same time, you are flexible and solution-oriented when circumstances change.
You communicate clearly, factually, and attentively and have a good ability to explain decisions, guidelines, and processes in a pedagogical manner. Furthermore, you are analytical and have the ability to see the whole picture and long-term needs, while also having an eye for details. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently within given frameworks, and actively contribute to the development and quality of the operations.
For the position, it is required that you have:
- Relevant higher education or other education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Good experience in administrative work with high structure and quality.
- Very good communicative ability in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Experience in relationship-building work in collaboration with, for example, associations, organizers, or other external actors.
- Good understanding of working in a politically governed organization or other complex operations.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience in developing, documenting, and managing routines, guidelines, and work processes.
- Experience in investigative work, analysis, and producing decision-making materials.
- Knowledge of sports and association activities.
- Experience in scheduling and booking facilities, grant management, event coordination, or similar administrative processes.

The city applies individual salary setting. The position is a temporary position with immediate start, as agreed, until December 31, 2026.
