Djurgården Skolidrott is looking for an engaged sports leader who, together with students at a school in Söderort, Stockholm, wants to establish, develop, and run a section association (School-IF) within Djurgården Skolidrott starting in the autumn term of 2026. Our goal is to make physical activity a natural part of the school day and create inclusive and joyful movement activities for all students.

Djurgården Skolidrott spreads joy of movement among children and youth through activities such as dance, gymnastics, handball, basketball, swimming, and much more. We want to create more opportunities for fun and safe physical activity before, during, and after the school day.

What you will do

  • Lead the section association's (School-IF) activities at a school together with school staff and students

  • Organize sessions with various types of physical activities that you or others lead

  • Act as a Djurgården ambassador in the school's local area and actively create and maintain relationships with the local community, including collaboration with local sports clubs

  • Work and document in the existing operational systems

What we would like to see in you

  • You are passionate about sports, exercise, and training and have some type of sports experience; preferably dance, gymnastics, handball, basketball, or swimming, but you are a generalist

  • You take initiative and drive things forward, solve problems when they arise, and take responsibility

  • You are a relationship builder, able to gather and lead diverse groups towards a goal – primarily children and youth, but also adults

  • You are meticulous, have structure and order

  • You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement

  • You can balance different demands and remain calm in difficult situations

  • You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals

  • You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole

  • You express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, as required in daily work

We offer The position entails a full-time job with work Monday-Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. The long days are compensated with longer leave over Christmas and summer. The position is a special fixed-term employment with good opportunities for extension and corresponds to a childcare worker role with an entry salary of 26,000 SEK.

Start date is August 3, 2026. Before an employment offer, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
