Job Description
As a requirements analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and communicating requirements from various stakeholders in one or more development projects. You will act as a bridge between the business, projects, delivery teams, and suppliers, ensuring that solutions are developed in line with business needs, user value, and technical prerequisites.
The projects involve applications that manage and process large amounts of data for analysis, planning, and decision support within a critical public service, including information exchange with external partners.
The business has high security requirements and primarily works with purchased or in-house developed on-prem solutions as well as shared platforms. In-house developed systems are built using modern technologies such as C#, Python, C++, and/or web technologies, and are operated in environments based on Windows, Linux, or container platforms.
The work is carried out both project-based and in agile delivery teams within a management organization. There are requirements analysts both in projects and in cross-functional teams. The assignment begins in project form, but team work may become relevant during the assignment period.
You will work closely with users with advanced domain and analytical skills as well as with other stakeholders such as architects, test leaders, and project managers.
The delivery teams work agilely, and experience in agile requirements work, including associated methods and tools, is therefore important.
Responsibilities
- Capture and document functional and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews, observations, and document studies
- Break down requirements into manageable and value-creating deliveries and define acceptance criteria
- Ensure that requirements are development-ready and testable
- Work closely with business experts, project members, delivery teams, and/or suppliers to ensure clear and prioritized requirements
- Communicate and anchor requirements between different stakeholders
- Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the development chain
- Contribute to continuous improvement of working methods, documentation, and requirements processes
- Support testing and quality assurance through requirements validation and review of test cases
- Provide methodological support in requirements management to requirement stakeholders
- Design or revise work processes for the receiving organization
- Participate in the procurement of new applications
Mandatory Requirements
- University degree in IT, engineering, or other relevant education
- At least 10 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years as a requirements analyst in IT responsible for both functional and non-functional requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in agile requirements work (e.g., user stories, MVP)
- At least 5 years of experience working in requirements and issue management tools
- At least 2 years of experience in technical requirements specification in IT environments with high security requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in requirements specification for analytical applications that handle large data sets
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working as a product owner and/or UX designer
- Experience in requirements specification of advanced computational or analytical applications
- Experience from businesses with technically complex and critical public systems
