About the job

The IT department of the Swedish Tax Agency is one of the largest in Sweden and works with a modern and complex IT environment. We are responsible for the operation, development, and management of IT systems for both the Swedish Tax Agency and other authorities. Our mission is growing, and we will now deliver IT services to even more authorities. You will be part of a DevOps-oriented team that develops and manages configurations, code, and automations for our Linux platform. You will work on building automations for self-service, hardening, and configuration in a complex environment for both the Swedish Tax Agency and other authorities. In our work, we use tools such as Git, Bash, Ansible, Satellite 6, IDM/FreeIPA, and Rsyslog, among others.

Your tasks include development, testing, hardening, and packaging of new releases of the RHEL operating system for the Swedish Tax Agency and other authorities. You will also work with scripting and automation to streamline patch management and simplify for our users. The team also provides support and advice to other groups within incident management, advanced troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.

You belong to the Operating Systems section of the Swedish Tax Agency's Technical Service Unit (STT) in the IT department, located in Sundbyberg.

About you

You should also have:

  • several years of relevant work experience in developing RedHat Linux platforms
  • several years of relevant experience in automation using, for example, Bash and/or Ansible.

It is desirable that you have relevant experience working in complex IT environments with high security requirements. It is also desirable if you have current and relevant experience working with security-enhancing measures for infrastructure and platforms. Current and relevant experience working according to agile methods, for example, GitOps, is also desirable.

The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.
