About the position

At Tullhuset, we are an investigation and rehabilitation unit for individuals in need of short-term care. As a nursing assistant with us, you will work with more advanced patients, leading to a very educational experience for those who have the desire and interest! We support our patients in their daily activities with a focus on utilizing the individual's own abilities and resources. We place a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, and you will therefore have close collaboration with occupational therapists and physiotherapists. You will belong to one of our five departments, but we collaborate and assist across departments.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• plan and perform personal care, service, and healthcare interventions based on each patient's individual needs
• build trusting relationships with patients and relatives, and as a contact person, be responsible for the individual care and support process
• collaborate in a team of nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, doctors, and physiotherapists

About the workplace

At Tullhuset, we run Örebro municipality's largest short-term accommodation, which consists of four floors and a department at USÖ, department 40A. We have a total of 74 places, of which 12 are located at USÖ. Our entire operation is conducted in close collaboration with Region Örebro County and the geriatric clinic at USÖ, which provides medical staffing and physiotherapists/rehab assistants. We have resources for assessing ongoing care and support needs, enhanced resources for rehabilitation, and continuous access to doctors during weekdays and primary care on weekends and evenings. Our operations should be based on providing individuals with knowledge, good treatment, high participation, and continuity.

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations encompass care and support, preventive activities, authority exercise in the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and assist people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a nursing assistant with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet patients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. Taking responsibility for your tasks is a given for you. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a sensitive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document in writing what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operational system, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• proof of protected professional title, or covered by transitional regulations (permanently employed nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023)

Meritorious:

• experience working with short-term care
• experience working with rehabilitation
• familiarity with documenting in operational systems

Scope and start date

Employment type: temporary

Employment degree: 100%

Start date: by agreement - until September 30

Number of positions: 4

Working hours: scheduled day, evening, and every other weekend

Other information

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a nursing assistant. While waiting for your proof, it is possible to be employed as a care assistant. If you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
