Do you want to help put Stockholm on the world map? We are currently looking for a driven and engaged tourist information officer who wants to welcome visitors to Stockholm and contribute to creating positive and memorable experiences of our beautiful city!

Stockholm Business Region AB is the business and destination company of the City of Stockholm.
Our mission is to strengthen Stockholm's attractiveness as a leading region for business establishments and tourism, both internationally, nationally, and locally. Stockholm Business Region works in close collaboration with the city's other administrations and companies, businesses, academia, and other authorities, institutions, and organizations as well as regions and municipalities. The City of Stockholm owns the company 100 percent through Stockholm Stadshus AB.
The Communications Department is responsible for working with Stockholm's position and international brand towards the target groups of businesses, visitors, investors, and talents, as well as the local business community in the city. The department is responsible for marketing and communication, press, PR, digital operations and development, as well as tourist information. The department is responsible for and ensures brand development for stronger international competitiveness.
Now we are looking for a tourist information officer
We are now looking for a tourist information officer with a strong interest in Stockholm and good communication skills, who will be a creative force in the communications department led by the communications manager.
Your role
As a tourist information officer, you are the face of the Stockholm experience. You meet visitors in person as well as via phone, email, social media, and other digital channels where we are present. With a service-oriented approach, you also guide guests to the right experiences and are a good storyteller about the creative capital in social media.
We are flexible, mobile, and where the action is – therefore, you will also meet visitors outside of Stockholm Business Region when the need arises, for example, during larger events, where you inspire and create memorable Stockholm experiences.
Your tasks include
- responding to visitors via phone, email, and social media
- creating content on social media from various events and activities in Stockholm
- community management - you build and nurture relationships with our tourists in digital channels through dialogue, service, and engagement
- monitoring the environment and keeping updated on current events in Stockholm
- posting events in our event calendar
We are looking for someone who has
- relevant higher education in tourism/digital communication/digital marketing or other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant
- very good skills in using and creating content on social media
- fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have
- good knowledge of other languages
- experience with the CMS system Wagtail

You have good collaboration skills and work well with colleagues to create the best experience for Stockholm's tourists together. The role requires flexibility, as tasks and workplace may vary based on the needs of the business. You are also proactive and take responsibility for seeing what needs to be done, contributing improvement suggestions, and acting professionally in meetings with our tourists.
