About the team & role
You will work as a summer intern in Operations at Heleneholmsverket in Malmö. The team is responsible for the operation of Malmö's district heating and cooling, a vital community mission that runs around the clock, every day of the year. The work is carried out in close collaboration with experienced operations technicians, and after an introduction, you will work more independently on parts of the assignment.

Examples of tasks:

  • Process monitoring and rounds at our facilities
  • Basic troubleshooting of production facilities
  • Assisting with maintenance work
  • Labeling and documentation of facility components

You will gain experience in several different areas of the operations assignment, such as process monitoring, rounds, and troubleshooting, and an increased understanding of how the operation and production of district heating and cooling works in practice.

About you
To succeed in this role, we see that you are studying at a college, university, or vocational school with a technical focus on operations technology, engineering, marine engineering, or equivalent. You are curious and have a desire to learn, take responsibility for your tasks, and work in a safety-conscious and thoughtful manner. You enjoy working together with others and like solving problems in a team. At the same time, you have a structured approach to work and understand the importance of always prioritizing safety in your work. You communicate clearly in Swedish and have a driver's license (B).

Practical information

  • Employment type: Fixed-term employment (summer job)
  • Scope: Full-time during June-August Period: June–August, approx. 6–10 weeks
  • Working hours: Working hours are primarily planned as shift work (including evenings, nights, and weekends), but daytime work may also be relevant, approximately 06:30–15:00, depending on the needs of the operation and vacation planning.

As we work with vital community operations, the employment is security classified, which means that a security review will be conducted before employment.
