The Vendelgården short-term unit consists of 14 to 18 places and is located in Örbyhus, where commuting options are good. The occupational therapist position is currently shared with Vendelgården's assisted living facility, which consists of 30 places and is in the same building.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a varied, responsible, and stimulating job where you largely plan your working hours based on the needs of the clients at the center.

Occupational therapists in our units work together in teams with physiotherapists, nurses, care staff, assistance officers, and administrative staff.

As a licensed occupational therapist, you will help create conditions for our clients to live as independently, participatively, and meaningfully as possible.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Assessments, prescribing/adjusting assistive devices, rehabilitation.
• Assessments of activity and functional ability as well as interventions such as training.
• Setting reasonable goals, home visits with clients.
• Working preventively to maintain good health and reduce the risk of falls.
• Along with the team, guiding and educating care staff in rehabilitative approaches and transfer techniques.
• Actively working with the organization's goals and assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist to join our team. You have an interest in working with the varying and individual needs of clients. You can work both in a team and independently and take personal responsibility for your tasks. It is important to be responsive to the client's needs and to have a friendly demeanor. Experience in elderly care is an advantage, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

In the unit, you will have occupational therapist and physiotherapist colleagues where close collaboration and teamwork make the days rich in content and facilitate continuous exchange of experiences. It is important that you are flexible and enjoy rapid changes. You see both details and the big picture.

A driver's license is a requirement.

Tierp Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If you also speak Finnish in addition to our other competence requirements, it can be an asset.
