We are now looking for residential assistants for several of our group homes located in Sunnersta, Sävja, and Malma Backe. Here live adults with LSS decisions who need support and care. The goal of our operations is to provide each user with a meaningful and dignified life based on their individual wishes and needs.

Your assignment includes:
- ensuring that each individual's needs are met to make everyday life as predictable, safe, and joyful as possible.
- maintaining contact with other actors in the user's network.
- writing and updating implementation plans based on the user's needs.
This is a dynamic job where no day is the same, and it suits you who enjoy a varied workday. In this role, you are expected to help develop the operations based on the municipality's values, routines, and guidelines, as well as work with, for example, alternative and augmentative communication, language development activities, and low-arousal approaches.
The job includes working irregular hours according to a rolling schedule with shifts during the day, evening, weekend, with sleeping on-call or awake night shifts.
In this assignment, we primarily seek permanent employees but also temporary hourly substitutes.
Your background
We are looking for someone who has completed a high school diploma in health and care, adult education in health and care, nursing education equivalent to assistant nurse competence, relevant pedagogical education, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. If you have a driver's license, this is an advantage. You need to have experience working in the care profession, and it is beneficial if you have worked with care for people with disabilities.
Good oral and written skills in Swedish are a requirement. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and alternative communication is an advantage. You should also be familiar with working in various computer programs and systems.
As a person, you have a good empathetic ability and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. You are a flexible person who can see opportunities in changes. You have good collaboration skills, patience, and relate to others in a responsive manner.
In Uppsala Municipality, we take joint responsibility for our work environment and work together to create a good climate in the unit with respectful interactions.
