About our open position
We welcome you as a driven and proactive person who wants to join and help develop our experienced and competent team.
Your tasks will include diagnostics based on clinical assessments and investigations, as well as treatment work and rehabilitation. As a PTP psychologist, you will receive a structured PTP internship with supervision and clear development goals. During your PTP internship, you will also play an important role as a resource for consultation and supervision of other staff. Treatment can be conducted individually, in groups, within family networks, and/or in collaboration with care partners.
You will also regularly collaborate with municipalities and care partners to ensure that your patients receive the support they need. The position is based in the addiction team and the LARO team, but you will also assist other teams with targeted interventions.
You will be offered a varied and independent job with a high degree of participation and responsibility, as well as good opportunities for development and specialization in the field. As a PTP psychologist, you will receive a clear introduction, continuous supervision, and the opportunity to develop towards future licensure. There are significant opportunities to influence, and you will be offered ongoing training, supervision, and operational information that is essential for maintaining quality and development in the clinics.
There is also the opportunity to collaborate with other psychologists within the field, and there is a large psychologist group and an active PTP group at SÄS that jointly drives professional issues within the organization. There is also the possibility of remote work one day a week.
The position is a fixed-term employment for one year.

About us
The addiction care at Södra Älvsborg Hospital consists of an inpatient department and an outpatient clinic. The clinic consists of several well-functioning teams such as the addiction team, FACT team, forensic psychiatric discharge team, and LARO team, with friendly colleagues driven by curiosity and a desire to continuously develop the organization.
The team allows us to have close collaboration around the patient. At the clinic, nurses, doctors, medical secretaries, social workers, caregivers, rehabilitation assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, peer support, psychologists, and unit managers work together.
The psychologist group currently consists of one psychologist and one who is currently on parental leave. The workgroup is characterized by competence, humor, engagement, and collegial helpfulness. The focus is on providing professional treatment and care to our patients, but job satisfaction, humor, and a pleasant working environment for employees are also high on the agenda.

Your profile
You who are applying have a completed psychology degree by January 2026 at the latest. The position is a PTP employment and requires that you are eligible to start PTP training. We prefer that you have work experience in psychiatric outpatient care. Experience working with the target group, addiction, and dependency treatment is also meritorious.
You have a strong commitment to your work and an ability to understand each participant's unique needs. You have good self-awareness and the ability to work independently. You see and take responsibility within the framework of your tasks, your assignment, and your profession. Since we work in teams, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and coordinate different tasks. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
