Entry IT - Your First Step Towards a Career in IT

Are you genuinely interested in IT and curious about the Swedish Armed Forces? If so, apply to our program Entry IT – your first step towards a career in our IT operations.

About Entry IT

Entry IT is a one-year entry program within the Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) that combines theory and practice. The purpose of the program is to build your IT competence, and you will receive an individually tailored onboarding plan with the goal of being employed permanently after completing the Entry Program. Throughout the period, you will have your own mentor for support.

In the first weeks, you will be introduced to the Swedish Armed Forces, and then you will work for about three months in the first-line service desk at our IT Support Department as part of your introductory training. There, you will be trained in our systems and meet our users with their IT-related problems to gain an understanding of the breadth of our IT environments. For the remaining time, you will work in operations related to your individual development plan at one of FMTIS's operational locations in Sweden. You will gain practical knowledge in various areas, such as working with systems, hardware, or within one of our other operational areas. Your understanding of the operations will increase, and you will build a network with other units.

You will have a fun and eventful time where you will get acquainted with our systems and platforms, our values, and the culture we strive for.
