The Assistance Unit Enskede-Årsta-Vantör is a municipal provider of personal assistance.

Our customers live in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, Södermalm, and Tyresö.

As a personal assistant, you work in the customer's home and support them in living the life they want to live, with security, independence, and participation.

Your role

We are currently looking for personal assistants who can work during the absence of regular staff.

As a personal assistant, your mission is to provide the best possible support for the customer to achieve good quality of life and participation in society. The work involves providing support in all situations of life, based on the customer's needs, wishes, and decisions made.

You plan and implement interventions and document in the operational system. The role also includes performing delegated health and medical tasks.

The tasks vary and can include both personal care and support for participation in society. This can involve support at home, in the workplace, at school, or during leisure activities.

You work independently but in close collaboration with colleagues, management, customers, and relatives.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who are attentive, service-oriented, and secure in yourself. You are calm, positive, and have great personal maturity as well as the ability to set boundaries.

Continuity is very important for our customers, so we prefer that you see the assignment as long-term and are diligent about being on time. You can work independently and take responsibility.

To be considered for the position, you need to meet the following requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken
• Basic computer skills, to document in the operational system

It is also highly meritorious if you

• Have previous experience in personal assistance
• Are a competent swimmer

In case of employment, you will need to present a criminal record extract from the police. The extract must not be older than 3 months from the date of issue.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in the City of Stockholm. As part of the City of Stockholm, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and disabled, social services, preventive and safety-enhancing work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 Stockholmers living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.

To work with the elderly and persons with disabilities in their homes in the City of Stockholm, you must show an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
