Family Therapist for the municipality's open care

Do you want to work closely with children, youth, and families and make a real difference in their daily lives? Then you might be the family therapist we are looking for in our open care.

About the position

As a family therapist in the municipality's open care, you work with support and treatment interventions for children, youth, and their families. The work is carried out both on behalf of social services and as interventions without individual needs assessment. The interventions may involve individual conversations, family discussions, and practical change work in the families' daily lives. The interventions are carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and other actors around the family.

Main responsibilities

• Treatment and change work with children, youth, and families from a systemic theoretical perspective
• Collaboration with social workers, youth support, schools, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), and other partners. Documentation and follow-up of interventions.
• Collaborate on problematic school absenteeism within Vaxholm schools' social teams and be part of the collaboration team for younger ages.
• Participate in the municipality's ongoing transformation work in line with the applicable social services act, including the development of more preventive and early interventions.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work
• Experience from social services and family therapy in open care
• Good knowledge of the social services act and children's needs
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
• A valid driver's license (class B) is required for the position

It is an advantage if you have

• Further education in family therapy such as systemic theory, levels 1 and 2, or other family therapy training
• Experience in preventive work and experience from the school environment
