At the clinic, we have about 50 employees who collaborate with the patient at the center; ear, nose, and throat doctors, audiologists, hearing pedagogues, special educators, sign language teachers, hearing care engineers, speech therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries.

The clinic's speech therapy reception is a general speech therapy reception that works with all speech therapy diagnoses, where the main focuses are child language, neurogenic speech disorders, and voice treatment. Both patients visiting our outpatient clinic and patients from the hospital's wards come to the speech therapy reception. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, daytime.

About You

We are looking for someone studying to become a speech therapist who will have completed semester 6 by the summer. We are looking for someone who, like us, believes that collaboration and providing good care and service is a given. You are comfortable meeting people and value diversity.

You are engaged and quality-conscious in your work and have the ability to work independently with experienced colleagues' support. After your introduction, you will primarily work with the assessment and treatment of children with delayed language development. Other tasks can be accommodated based on competence and wishes. Personal suitability is highly valued.

The Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic caters to patients with acute and chronic upper respiratory infections as well as chronic, inflammatory conditions caused by allergies and other sensitivities in the upper airways. Additionally, it involves managing neurological diseases, swallowing disorders, treatment of traumatic injuries, tumors, obstructive sleep disorders, and voice, speech, and language disorders. An important part of the operation involves hearing care for all ages. The specialty treats congenital and acquired diseases and injuries and includes both acute and non-acute conditions in patient groups of all ages. The clinic offers care for patients around the clock throughout the year. Our primary catchment area includes about 140,000 residents.

The Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialized care, maternity care, and postnatal care.
