Ambulance Nurse Ambulance Service Borlänge
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you will work with pre-hospital emergency care, meeting patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You will assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to a healthcare facility. The focus is on good care and compassion in the encounter with the patient. You will work both independently and as part of a team where collaboration and knowledge exchange will contribute to the best possible care for the sick and injured. You will work according to the current treatment guidelines for Ambulance Service Dalarna.
At our station in Borlänge, about 50 employees work. Here, we have a good work climate and care for one another.
We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves shifts both day, night, and weekend.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities such as teamwork ability, positive attitude, and engagement. You need to be confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in people, and always keep the patient in focus. You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good work climate.
Additional InformationQualificationsRequirements:
- Specialist nurse degree with a focus on ambulance care
- You must be approved according to the guidelines of the Ambulance Service Dalarna regarding employment tests and introductory training.
- Driver's license with the authority to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.
- Swimming ability of 200 m, certification required
Meritorious:
- Previous experience in ambulance care
- Prio1 certification
- PS/PHTLS/AMLS training
