Are you an intensive care nurse looking to make a real difference every day? Welcome to us at Mora Hospital, where highly specialized care meets proximity, collaboration, and quality of life.

Our vision is to be a leading clinic where competence, commitment, and development go hand in hand. With us, you will work in an environment that combines the community of a small hospital with the breadth and challenges of a trauma hospital.

Mora - where work and life coexist.

With proximity to nature, mountains, and outdoor activities, Mora offers fantastic opportunities for an active leisure life all year round. At the same time, Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two acute hospitals, serving an area of about 80,000 inhabitants. Large tourist flows to Sälen and Idre, as well as recurring national and international sports events, make our everyday life both varied and exciting.

The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Surgery (C-op), Day Surgery (DKM), and Sterile Technology. In the ICU, we care for about 1,500 patients per year. In C-op and DKM, approximately 4,500-5,000 surgeries are performed annually, mainly in surgery and orthopedics, but also in urology and gynecology. Our sterile technical unit plays a crucial role for the entire Region Dalarna by handling goods from all hospital operations as well as from all health centers.

We work closely across clinic boundaries and also contribute with specialist competence in the form of alarm teams, sedation in outpatient clinics, and during secondary transports to other hospitals.

With us, you will become part of an engaged team where your competence is valued, your development is encouraged, and your work makes a difference - for real.

Job Responsibilities

As an intensive care nurse with us, you stand at the center of the most critical moments in healthcare.

You are responsible for advanced nursing of patients with threatening or manifest failure in vital functions - in severe medical conditions, accidents, and in advanced postoperative care. This is a job that requires high competence, presence, and courage - and that provides meaning, pride, and real impact.

We know that a sustainable work life is a prerequisite for you to be able to do a good job over time. Therefore, we offer individual schedule planning, where we take into account both the needs of the operation and your life situation. Currently, we work 2 out of 5 weekends.

Region Dalarna offers a generous wellness allowance, and in the ICU, we actively work to be a health-promoting workplace - focusing on recovery, community, and long-term sustainability. With us, you should be able to develop, thrive, and have the energy - both on and off the job.

For us, the person behind the profession is crucial. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, and we recruit carefully to build strong teams where we trust each other.

Perhaps this is the next step in your professional life - where your competence really makes a difference every day.

Other InformationQualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse
  • Further education in intensive care

Personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference - and does so with heart, sharpness, and commitment. You are a positive and meticulous intensive care nurse with a focus on the patient and a warm, professional approach - both towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. For you, good care is as much an attitude as it is professional knowledge.

You thrive in a daily life where the pace can be high and where your ability to prioritize, think clearly, and act confidently makes a difference when it really matters. With good multitasking ability and stress resilience, you handle complex situations calmly and responsibly, even when many balls are in the air. You collaborate naturally, contribute to an open and permissive work climate, and see flexibility as a strength. Your commitment is contagious, and you help build a work environment where we support each other, develop together, and feel pride in what we do.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and feel comfortable working in digital journal systems.
