Nurse Day/Night (Temporary) for the Ambulance Service Borlänge
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you will work with pre-hospital emergency care where you meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to a healthcare facility. The focus is on good care and humanity in patient interactions. You work both independently and as part of a team where collaboration and knowledge exchange contribute to the best possible care for the sick and injured. You work according to the applicable treatment guidelines for the Ambulance Service Dalarna.
At our station in Borlänge, about 50 employees work. Here we have a good working climate and care for each other. We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves shifts both day, night, and weekends.
We place great importance on your personal qualities such as teamwork ability, positive attitude, and engagement. You need to be confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in people, and always keep the patient in focus. You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good working climate.
Additional InformationQualificationsRequirements:
- Licensed Nurse
- You must be approved according to the Ambulance Service Dalarna's guidelines regarding employment tests and introductory training.
- Driver's license with the ability to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.
- Swimming ability 200 m, certificate required
If you do not have the qualifications when applying to us, you must start obtaining C1 driver's license within an agreed time period. The employer covers health examination and driving school costs.
Meritorious:
- Specialist nurse degree with a focus on ambulance care
- Previous experience in ambulance care
- Prio1 qualification
- PS/PHTLS/AMLS training
- Driver's license with the ability to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.
