Saltöskolan is a suitably sized school with a perfect location on the outskirts of the city center in Karlskrona. The school has about 160 students and around 100 students are enrolled in after-school care. We are close to the sea, forest, and city.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference every day.

Our school is a safe, inclusive, and learning environment where students' development is at the center. We are now looking for an engaged special education teacher who is passionate about developing accessible teaching and has high competence in neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).

QUALIFICATIONS

About the position

In this role, you will combine tasks as both a special educator and a special teacher. This means that you will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and contribute to creating good conditions for all students to succeed.

You will, among other things:

• conduct educational investigations and assessments
• mentor and support colleagues in developing accessible learning environments
• teach individual students and small groups
• collaborate with student health, teachers, and guardians
• contribute to the school's development work with a special focus on NPF adaptations and differentiated instruction

The position is a permanent position.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed special educator or special teacher, preferably with experience in both roles
• has deep knowledge and documented experience of NPF, such as ADHD, autism, and language disorders
• can translate research-based knowledge into practical teaching and support measures
• is unpretentious, solution-focused, and secure in your professional role
• has a good ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships
• is passionate about ensuring that all students receive the right support at the right time
