We are looking for a native language teacher/study advisor in Polish, 80%. The position is a fixed-term employment, holiday service, for the school year 2025/2026 with the possibility of extension. Start as soon as possible.

The Education Administration has about 1200 employees and is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, assignment education, and SFI.

Job Responsibilities
As a native language teacher and study advisor, you are centrally employed in the municipality within the Integration School unit, which serves the entire municipality with native language instruction and study guidance/language support in the native language from grade 1 to high school. Currently, about 40 teachers/study advisors work in the unit covering over 20 different languages.

In the role of native language teacher, you plan, implement, document, and assess based on the curriculum goals. Instruction may take place at several schools, and remote teaching may be relevant in certain groups. Study guidance/language support occurs at the municipality's various primary schools. It can be organized in different ways, such as study guidance before, during, or after lessons. The assignment requires collaboration with the principal and staff at the schools.

Study guidance/language support is usually provided during daytime hours during lesson time, while native language instruction takes place outside the regulated timetable, usually after regular school hours. You participate in the unit's joint development work and have a base school where you are part of their common development work, as far as possible.

Qualifications
We are primarily looking for someone who has a teaching license for the native language, alternatively someone who has a pedagogical education with broad competence. You are well acquainted with LGR22. You should have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in the native language you teach and in Swedish. As a study advisor/language supporter, you should have good insight into the Swedish school system and possess good subject knowledge.

You are flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and are accustomed to digital tools. We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness in your professional role. You have the ability to create good relationships and communicate well with students, guardians, and other staff. As a person, you can inspire and engage students and meet them based on their individual conditions and knowledge levels.

We offer you an environment where language-developing teaching is a prerequisite and where collegial learning is central. You have the competence to teach both in person with all students in the classroom and via digital media through remote teaching, which requires a good ability to structure work and good initiative. You have a good ability for analysis and reflection and continuously develop your teaching. Great consideration is given to personal suitability.
