Vägga High School currently has just over 1000 students and 150 employees. The school offers most national programs as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. The upper secondary school is divided into four school units, each with a responsible principal.
The Education Administration has about 1200 employees and is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted school, upper secondary school, municipal adult education, commissioned education, and SFI.

Qualifications
We are primarily looking for a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach at the upper secondary level in the Electrical and Energy Program. However, if you work in the electrical and energy industry and are interested in trying the profession and starting training to become a vocational teacher, you may also be of interest. You should have worked as an electrician (installation or industry) for a few years, either as a self-employed person or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have good and established contacts within the electrical and energy industry. It is important that you possess knowledge of the requirements and guidelines set by the Electrical Industry's Central Vocational Board (ECY) for obtaining an electrical certificate and the path to becoming a qualified electrician, as well as knowledge of the legislation that applies to electrical installations and electrical safety. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You will teach all grades within alarm, maintenance, and electrical technology. The EE program has specializations in Electrical Engineering and Energy Technology. You will work in both specializations. You have both practical and theoretical experience in the field. You have pronounced collaboration skills, can take your own initiatives, and have the will and ability to meet and support each student in their learning based on their knowledge level. As a teacher, you see opportunities to work with ICT as a natural tool in learning and teaching. We would also like you to have experience working with young people. Good knowledge of the local labor market is an advantage. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Responsibilities
Teaching and other teaching tasks in the Electrical and Energy Program. The teaching role also includes mentoring students, where you encourage students to take their own initiatives that contribute to responsibility for their own development. Through your mentorship, you will also collaborate with students' guardians and the student health team on issues related to individual development. The assignment includes mentorship and being part of a work team.
