We are looking for a study counselor in Mandarin, 25%. The position is a temporary employment with a vacation employment during the school year 2025/2026, with the possibility of extension. Start as soon as possible.

The Education Administration has approximately 1,200 employees and is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, adapted secondary school, municipal adult education, commissioned education, and SFI.

Job Responsibilities
As a study counselor, you are centrally employed in the municipality within the Integration School unit, which is responsible for mother tongue teaching and study counseling/language support in the mother tongue from grade 1 to high school. Currently, about 40 teachers and study counselors work within the unit, covering over 20 different languages.

Study counseling and language support are provided at the municipality's various primary schools and can be organized in different ways, for example before, during, or after lessons. The assignment requires close cooperation with principals and staff at the schools. Study counseling and language support are usually provided during regular school hours.

You participate in the unit's joint development work and have a base school where you, as far as possible, are part of the school's joint development work.

Qualifications
As a study counselor and language supporter, you should have at least a high school education. You should have a good understanding of the Swedish school system as well as good subject knowledge. You should have a good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written language in both the mother tongue you provide language support in and in Swedish. You are flexible and able to adapt to changing conditions and are accustomed to working with digital tools.

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness in your professional role. You have a good ability to create relationships and communicate well with students, guardians, and other staff. You can inspire and engage students and meet them based on their individual conditions and knowledge levels. We offer an operation where language-developing teaching is an obvious part of the assignment and where collegial learning is central. The assignment requires good structure, initiative, and the ability to analyze and reflect to continuously develop teaching.
