Role description

In the role of Chief Design Engineer within Piping and Layout Engineering, you will hold a strategically important position where you combine technical leadership with a holistic perspective in Cyient’s projects.

You will be a driving force in both our local and global engineering teams, acting as a technical expert in close collaboration with our customers. By leading the work from early design through to the final solution, you will contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable systems that meet future demands through advanced engineering techniques.

Qualifications

As a Chief Design Engineer with Cyient, you are expected to contribute with both technical expertise and a strong commitment to collaboration and results. You have a solid engineering background and experience from complex industrial projects where you have taken responsibility for technology, structure, and communication.

We’re looking for someone with

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical-, Energy-, Process Engineering or similar.
• 15+ years of experience in piping engineering and multidisciplinary plant engineering projects.
• Experienced user of Aveva E3D (and/or PDMS).
• Strong experience in pulp & paper industry.
• Communicative, self-driven, and collaborative personality with the ability to take technical leadership and make well-founded decisions.

It’s an advantage if you also have

• Experience from the European piping codes.
• Experience from managing scopes and project schedules.
• Experience from review, approve and challenge technical documents/solutions in all project phases.
• Experience from site activities like installation and start up.
