About the job
We are looking for a method and subject representative for migration and development. As a method and subject representative, you will provide thematic support to operational departments and foreign missions. You will also contribute to learning by making evidence, environmental analysis, method, and knowledge development available to support an effective implementation of development cooperation. Additionally, you will provide expert support to the Government Offices in the aforementioned thematic area.
You will work at our office in Rissne Sundbyberg.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the migration team, coordinate and implement activities for evidence, analysis, knowledge development, and learning, including thematic support and methodological support, as well as capacity development.
- Provide thematic operational support to operational units, departments, and foreign missions within the subject area.
- Contribute to subject-related assignments towards the Government Offices and Sida's management.
- Contribute to monitoring and reporting on the development of the subject area through research and environmental monitoring and participate in thematic environmental analysis.

Qualifications
Education
- Academic degree in a relevant subject area for the position
Work experience and skills
- Experience working with migration and development
- Good environmental analytical skills and the ability to compile complex analysis into understandable contexts and structures
- Have international and national networks within the development field, as well as experience in policy dialogue in international contexts
- Experience working at a foreign mission or in a similar international environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to represent and advocate in official contexts
- Experience leading knowledge and method development within the subject area

It is advantageous if you
- Have a doctoral degree with a relevant focus for the position
- Have academic studies or experiences in another closely related strategic area relevant to Sida's operations and mission
- Have experience leading processes as a project manager or manager
- Have experience in reporting work, writing government documents, and responding to government assignments
- Have knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or another relevant language
Good to know
The position is a temporary appointment until further notice, but no later than June 2027. Start date June 2026.
Sida offers the possibility of remote work to some extent if it works for the organization.
