Administrator/Security Guard at Ångermanland District Court
Ångermanland District Court is a medium-sized court located centrally in Härnösand. Härnösand is close to the High Coast with its unique and beautiful landscape. It is close to nature and has short distances between home, work, school, preschool, and activities. Härnösand is a diocese and residence town with a rich cultural and outdoor life.
Ångermanland District Court is an open and modern workplace with skilled and dedicated employees. The court has an efficient and well-functioning operation and a very good collaborative climate. The court continuously works on developing its operations and working methods and has long applied a digital working approach.
At Ångermanland District Court, criminal cases, civil cases, and matters from Härnösand, Kramfors, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik municipalities are handled, as well as enforcement cases and certain types of matters from Västernorrland County. The court has an office with a court location in Härnösand and a court location in Örnsköldsvik. About 40 people work at the court.
The court will move this year into a new courthouse building in Härnösand, which will offer modern, secure, and purpose-built premises. The new premises create very good conditions for the court to continue to grow and further develop its operations. At the same time, work continues to develop operations at the court location in Örnsköldsvik.

Your Tasks
The position is a combined role, which means that you will primarily work administratively but also as a security guard. To thrive with us, you need to handle various administrative tasks and be able to switch between roles. You play an important role in the court's daily work, where we work together to fulfill the court's mission. The work is varied, social, and requires both structure and flexibility – perfect for you who thrive in a dynamic environment.
As an administrator/security guard, you, together with the court's other administrators/security guards, will primarily work with the release of public documents and other administrative tasks, be responsible for internal office services, work with IT issues and provide technical support at the court, staff the court's reception and fixed security control with x-ray, and also participate in the court's security work.
You are also prepared to travel to and serve at the court's location in Örnsköldsvik when hearings are held there, work overtime due to hearings sometimes continuing after regular working hours, and serve weekends when the court has weekend duty.
Since we are a medium-sized court, the breadth of tasks is large, and for us, it is a given that we help each other.
About You
An important part of the job is to receive and assist those who come to the court and to maintain order and security. Therefore, it is important that you provide good service, are calm and secure as a person, and have an easy time handling people. For you, it is a given to collaborate and contribute to creating a pleasant workplace. Since the role is broad, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy switching between practical and administrative work, can handle a fast pace, and have the ability to reprioritize as needed. You are good at organizing, planning, and prioritizing your tasks. You have a very high sense of responsibility and very good judgment.
For the role, it is required that you have a completed upper secondary education, good computer skills, and good language skills in Swedish.
It is also required that you have a valid security guard authorization or that you meet the requirements for and are willing to undergo the police security guard training, which will be funded by the court in that case. It is an absolute requirement that you attend and pass this training. For more information about the training, see the Police Authority's website www.polisen.se (http://www.polisen.se). It is also required that you have normal color vision since the work with the x-ray equipment requires it.
It is meritorious if you have previous experience in administrative work, service work, and work with security issues. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience of working at a court, authority, or other legal activities.
Your personal qualities and suitability for the position – especially regarding personal maturity, judgment, flexibility, and ability to collaborate – are crucial.
