The Police Area of Västernorrland is one of the police areas in the North Police Region. The geographical area includes seven municipalities.

The Police Area of Västernorrland is divided into three local police areas: Medelpad, Northern Ångermanland, and Southern Ångermanland, and consists of about 80 employees. At the police area level, there is an investigation section and a police area office.

The Local Police Area of Northern Ångermanland is part of the Police Area of Västernorrland. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service.

The group operating within intervention and crime prevention currently consists of about 50 employees working in the roles of local police officer, area police officer, and community police officer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the group leader for BF/IGV, you report to the LPO manager and are part of the management team of LPO N Ångermanland, where you collectively are responsible for ensuring that tasks are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's operations in the Strömsund area and its results. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • At least 6 months of continuous experience working as a team leader, project manager, or similar in the last five years
  • Experience participating in change and development work
  • Experience in the relevant operational area, that is, experience in police organization operations
  • Police degree according to Ordinance (2014:1105) on training to become a police officer

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience leading others towards set goals and results
  • Participated in management forms
  • Experience in police organization operations
  • Management and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels
  • Experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization
  • Experience working in the local police area of Northern Ångermanland
  • Experience of personnel responsibility for at least 6 months and carried out associated tasks that the employer assesses as relevant, experience within BF/IGV is particularly meritorious
