Occupational Safety Engineer

For the HSEQ department

What will your role be at Metsä?

Here is an opportunity for you who want to continue developing in a specialist role within the field of occupational safety! Together with colleagues within the organization, you will work to develop work processes, routines, and instructions that promote an accident-free and healthy workplace.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Advisory specialist in occupational safety supporting the organization in its safety work
  • Maintain and develop the systematic occupational safety work within the organization
  • Lead in-depth accident and incident investigations
  • Monitor developments in applicable legislation
  • Participate in audits and contacts with authorities in the field of occupational safety
  • Work in and support the business in occupational safety-related systems used by the company

Requirements:

Post-secondary education with a focus on occupational safety or equivalent

Previous work experience in the field of occupational safety

Meritorious:

Engineering education

Understanding of and knowledge about industrial operations
