We are looking for a Project Engineer for Trafikverket.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the project engineer involves working as a resource consultant in road projects within the Investment Western region, road unit 4 in Gothenburg. The assignment includes operational and administrative support to the project manager throughout the investment process, primarily in the planning phase but also in other phases. The role requires an independent, proactive, and structured working method with responsibility for planning, execution, and follow-up of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

Act as a coordinator and serve as support and sounding board for project managers and the project organization in project-related issues

Assist in the establishment and follow-up of project-controlling documentation and ensure that processes are followed

Drive and prepare agreed project issues and, if necessary, act as deputy project manager

Participate in the establishment, follow-up, and reporting of project timelines and milestones

Set up, update, and follow up on project finances and administer forecasts and invoicing in the financial system

Perform requested financial follow-ups such as authorizations and valuations

Assist in requirements and quality work by establishing, updating, and following up on control programs and requirement lists

Coordinate the project's risk work and manage risks and action plans in relevant system support

Support and coordinate the development of assignment descriptions and procurement documents

Provide administrative project support including meeting administration, minute-taking, document structure, filing, access management, and updating of ÄTA/UR logs

Prepare summaries, presentations, and reports for project follow-up at the request of the manager, project manager, or controller

Contribute to knowledge transfer to employees by performing tasks in the assignment

Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)

Have a university or college education of at least 180 credits (120 points) in engineering, economics, and construction or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by Trafikverket.

At least 1 (one) year of experience within the last 3 (three) years of work in road/rail projects as a project engineer, contracting engineer, project economist, or equivalent role that Trafikverket considers equivalent. You must have had at least 80% employment rate in the requested role.

Have current and relevant experience working with calculations, budgets, scheduling, and risk management in infrastructure projects through Trafikverket's administrative systems, such as C7, Project Portal, ProjectWise, and Exonaut Risk, or equivalent systems deemed equivalent by the client.

Very good experience working with the Office suite.

Have relevant work experience in project administration in infrastructure projects, or other work experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent.

Good Swedish in speech and very good Swedish in writing.

Driver's license for passenger car.
