About Us

The Radiology Clinic at Blekingesjukhuset operates in both Karlskrona and Karlshamn.

We conduct approximately 110,000 examinations per year, covering a catchment area of about 150,000 residents. The clinic employs around 100 staff members, including 12 specialist doctors and 7 resident doctors. We offer diagnostics in most commonly used modalities, such as conventional radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography, MRI, and SPECT-CT. Mammography services are provided at a separate unit within the clinic.

The Job

As a specialist doctor at the radiology clinic in Blekinge, you will work as a general radiologist with the opportunity for a wide variety of tasks across different modalities. Your work will include supervising the clinic's resident doctors as well as observing BT doctors, AT doctors, and resident doctors from other specialties. As a specialist radiologist, you are expected to perform interventions such as pleural, ascitic, and simpler abscess drains, as well as the insertion of nephrostomies.

You will be primarily based at our department in Karlskrona and participate in staffing our smaller department in Karlshamn. If there is a preference for primary placement in Karlshamn, this is also possible. You will be part of the on-call operations conducted in Karlskrona, where the primary on-call doctor works until 8 PM with support from the backup on-call. Between 8 PM and 7 AM (every day), TMC Sydney reviews the radiology clinic's production, with backup on call. We work in Sectra RIS/PACS.

About You

We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in radiology or a resident doctor in the middle/late stage of your training. You have a good ability to collaborate and communicate and enjoy developing in your work. Knowledge in breast radiology and/or nuclear medicine is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
