About the role

In the role of Mechanical Design Engineer in press construction at AP&T, you will work on technically exciting projects for interesting customers in an international environment. You will have great freedom under responsibility and be a key player in the business and in the projects you drive together with competent colleagues. You will work independently in your role as a project designer and be part of a large group of designers who collaborate and solve problems together. For the right person, there is an opportunity to develop within the design area and work in a role that offers great variation in daily tasks.

Your main responsibilities

• Project design for presses.
• Create all necessary documentation for manufacturing (CAD models, drawings, hydraulic and mechanical calculations, instructions, etc.).
• Create and save necessary data (risk assessments, etc.) requested by authorities and customers.
• Support other departments with technical inquiries.
• Improve existing products/modules and develop (contribute to) new ones.

Requirements

• University degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Education and/or experience in mechanics and hydraulics.
• Training in strength calculations.
• Fluent English in speech and writing.
• Basic Swedish in speech and writing.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious

• Manual and computer-aided calculations of mechanical strength.
• Previous work experience with hydraulic systems and calculations.
• Knowledge of directives and standards for machine safety.
