The department consists of three units with high competence and long experience in street and park operations. You will work closely with the unit manager for park operations but also closely with your colleagues who work in areas such as traffic, construction, and lighting.

As a Park Manager in Hässleholm Municipality, your main responsibility will be the strategic development of the municipality's parks, forests, green areas, and play environments. This includes planning, coordination, documentation, handling referrals, and following up on maintenance of park, forest, and maintenance work. You will be part of a municipality-wide forum for the development of outdoor environments where your task will be to ensure that Hässleholm Municipality's outdoor environments can be managed in a development-oriented manner by your skilled colleagues in street and park operations.

The role also includes budget responsibility, responsibility for procurements within the park area, and contact with external suppliers and stakeholders. You will work unpretentiously both independently and in a team, and have an important role in creating attractive and well-maintained outdoor environments in forests, parks, and urban areas for the municipality's residents.

Your workplace will be at Bokebergsgatan 5 in central Hässleholm, just a stone's throw from Hässleholm station, which you can easily commute to. The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a start date according to agreement.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in park and landscape, such as landscape engineer or landscape architect, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have a high ability to collaborate and a good ability to plan and drive your work both independently and in a team. You need to have several years of experience in strategic park management and good knowledge of plants, tree care, and land maintenance. Since the work largely involves communication at various levels, it is of utmost importance that you can express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. The position requires good computer skills to navigate programs in Microsoft 365 and other digital systems. Since Hässleholm Municipality stretches from Emmaljunga in the north to Sösdala in the south, you also need to be able to transport yourself throughout the municipality, which requires a B driver's license.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in public or state park and forest management and have good knowledge of CAD and GIS. Experience in municipal procurement and contract follow-up is also advantageous as the position includes governance in accordance with the agreements that the Park Manager is responsible for.
