Customer Service is a unit within the IT and Development Department that provides consolidated municipal services under one roof. We answer your questions directly or guide you correctly, primarily through digital channels. Today, we work together with sector administrators and experts based on the concept of "One Way In" to make it easier and more efficient for the municipality's residents to contact us. We work in open office landscapes in Gävle City Hall, close to both train and bus. Come and make Gävle communicative with us!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with your colleagues, you will provide the best possible service to our municipal residents and become an important ambassador for Gävle municipality in all customer contacts.

  • You participate in contributing to development based on customer focus and attend meetings with the operations.
  • You respond to incoming inquiries via phone calls, emails, and social media.
  • You provide support in the municipality's e-services and welcome visitors in our reception at City Hall.
  • You provide information and guidance and manage and distribute cases in the municipality's case management system.
  • We also work with internal service of a more practical nature.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a humble and relationship-building person who values providing the best possible service. As a confident communicator, you have a natural ability to listen and curiously explore new perspectives. You are also positive and change-oriented, with a genuine commitment to development and improvement.

Formal requirements

  • Degree from a 3-year upper secondary program
  • At least six months of experience in the service industry, focusing on providing customers with guidance, information, and support through phone and digital systems.
  • You have a strong interest in creating good customer experiences - via phone, digital channels, and face-to-face meetings.
  • You are accustomed to working in digital systems and have a very good ability to search for and gather information.
  • You adapt quickly and can easily switch between different systems.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

  • Experience in customer service work, social media, and case management systems.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge or experience in social services and care issues.
