Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transport.

The Finance Department consists of the purchasing unit and the unit for accounting, planning, and follow-up (REPU). REPU, in turn, consists of the section for economic support, a central accounting function, and national controllers focusing on cross-agency issues such as operational planning, risk analysis, internal governance and control, annual reports, and financial forecasts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a stimulating work environment where you, together with experienced colleagues, will be responsible for the agency's work in strategic risk analysis, internal governance and control, and operational planning. Your mission is to ensure that these processes are coordinated and provide a reliable basis for decision-making for the agency management.

In this role, you will lead the work on the agency's strategic risk analysis and be responsible for developing and analyzing the overall risk picture at the agency level. You will monitor the development of risks, establish common frameworks, and ensure that risk management is aligned with the agency's goals. You will be responsible for analyzing and assessing the agency's internal governance and control. Through systematic analyses, you will identify deficiencies, risks, and improvement needs in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you will ensure the connection between the agency's goals, risks, and follow-up, and contribute to structured dialogues and prioritizations at the agency level.

In the coming years, you will lead and implement several larger cross-agency development assignments within the relevant processes. These assignments include method development and common working methods. The role requires the ability to drive complex development work with multiple stakeholders while ensuring quality, manageability, and traceability.

This year, the Finance Department will be strengthened with increased operational support to the departments regarding risk analysis, internal governance and control, and operational planning. Your role is to serve as the strategic and cohesive level, responsible for overall quality and providing direction and structure to the operational work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is structured and responsible with the ability to plan and organize your work effectively. You are proactive and drive issues forward while exercising good judgment and making well-balanced assessments. You collaborate well with others and communicate clearly.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in economics or another education combined with experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant
• At least three years of experience in a similar role at a strategic level, where you have worked with risk analysis, internal governance and control, and operational planning
• At least three years of work experience in driving, developing, and coordinating processes that involve many different parts in a larger organization
• Experience working closely with top management in a larger organization
• Good ability to analyze and compile materials for management and decision-making
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with systems support for operational planning, follow-up, and/or risk management
