The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic in Växjö is a specialized unit tasked with caring for patients who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care by the courts. We also receive patients from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service who need psychiatric care and treatment. The clinic operates under all three security classes and offers high-quality forensic psychiatric care based on science and proven experience. The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic in Växjö has 11 inpatient wards with different profiles and focuses, as well as an outpatient unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a curator, you are an important consultative resource for the individual patient and for the multidisciplinary team surrounding each patient. As part of the patient's care team, you will participate in treatment work based on your psychosocial and social legal competence, with the goal of helping the patient return to a daily life in society characterized by a qualified social safety net and without relapse into crime or alcohol and drug use. Your duties include conducting psychosocial and economic investigations and assessments, establishing action plans, and assisting the patient in matters related to finances, housing, employment, education, and work. As a curator, you are also responsible for meeting the patient's often significant and complex coordination needs, which requires continuous and close collaboration with other psychiatric services, social services, authorities, interest organizations, and relatives.

We work in a modern team organization where different professions, such as nurses, treatment pedagogues, caregivers, curators, occupational therapists, psychologists, and doctors work closely together for the best of the patient.

QUALIFICATIONS

In connection with the recruitment, we request an extract from the criminal and suspicion register as well as a drug test.

A degree in social work is required. Previous experience in forensic psychiatric care, authority work within social services, or curatorial work within healthcare is meritorious. Likewise, if you are a licensed healthcare curator.

As a person, you are interested in social issues with an individual focus and are equally comfortable with team-based and independent work. You enjoy challenges and work in a solution-focused and structured manner. You have good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have a very good ability to build relationships with a positive attitude. You are attentive, communicative, and confident in your professional role and as a person. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

A driver's license is required as travel is involved in the work.
