We are now looking for a nursing assistant for our surgical ward with a focus on elective surgery.

As a nursing assistant in the surgical department, you will participate in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing planned surgical operations and examinations. We are open around the clock, Monday to Friday. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and possibly night.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience in ward work. You work in a structured manner, have good collaboration skills, and are flexible with a strong ability to prioritize and adapt to the situation. We also see that you have a desire to work with a focus on good and person-centered care. You should thrive in a changing pace and varied tasks. We place great importance on personal suitability. The surgical department in Oskarshamn is part of the Surgical Clinic Kalmar and Oskarshamn. In the department, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and doctors work together. We perform basic elective surgery from Monday to Friday. A total of over 235 people work at the Surgical Clinic Kalmar and Oskarshamn, of which about 25 are in Oskarshamn. Oskarshamn Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County and has over 400 employees. The hospital is a small facility with quick decision-making paths and close contacts between units. Here you will find medical specialist care, radiology, planned surgery, and orthopedics. The hospital is located near Oskarshamn's center and close to the archipelago.
