At Norlandia Äldreomsorg, we are looking for you who are a nursing assistant/caregiver and want to work full-time/part-time during all or part of the summer at Skäpplandsgården elderly care home in Örebro. As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful existence in their later years. We always start from the resident's will and ability and focus on the healthy aspects. As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the individual needs of the elderly. Tasks may include assistance with daily care, medication administration, documentation, support during activities, serving meals, and light cleaning in the residents' apartments. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. It’s a very exciting job!

Skäpplandsgården is a small, pleasant residence with three departments, two of which are for people with dementia. The residence has a cozy garden for meaningful outdoor activities.

The residence is located next to Haga center, which offers grocery stores, pharmacies, libraries, restaurants, etc. Close to a health center. Good communication options by bus. Nice walking and cycling paths are available in the area.

As a summer substitute with us, you will have access to Cappy – a smart app that gives you an overview of your working hours and salary. In the app, you can see your worked hours, earned salary, preliminary salary payment, information about available shifts, and how much you can earn on an extra shift. With Cappy, there is also the possibility to withdraw part of your earned salary for extra shifts/hours immediately after completing a shift.

We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We appreciate if you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• It is advantageous if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.

• It is highly advantageous if you have previous experience in elderly care.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We also prefer that you have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2026

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
