Specialist Physician in Orthopedics

The orthopedic area of operations is a regional service with acute hospitals in Gävle and Hudiksvall, as well as operations in Bollnäs. The orthopedic area has the task of providing acute and planned orthopedic health care in Gävleborg County.

Hudiksvall is located in the middle of Sweden, along the Hälsinge coast. The travel time from Stockholm to Hudiksvall by express train is approximately 2.5 hours.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist physician with us, you will work with:

• working in a closely-knit team at the orthopedic clinic and collaborating with other clinics in the region
• independently planning and performing surgeries and outpatient visits with a focus on the patient's best interests
• mentoring and inspiring younger colleagues in their education and professional development
• participating in both acute and elective surgery at Hudiksvall Hospital across several orthopedic sections
• contributing to and participating in internal training and experience exchange to develop both your own and the clinic's competencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a confident and committed person who prioritizes each patient's needs and enjoys educating and mentoring younger colleagues. You are flexible in how you utilize both your own and others' competencies to achieve the best possible team results. You are interested in development and improvement work, secure in your professional role, and have the ability to meet people in a professional and empathetic manner.

In the role of specialist physician, you should:

• be a licensed specialist physician in orthopedics
• have at least three years of on-call experience and have worked clinically full-time (100%) at another orthopedic clinic in Sweden in the last two years
• master the Swedish language at least at level C1
• hold a valid B driver's license.
