Rehabilitation Medicine Department at Sandviken Hospital

The Rehabilitation Medicine Department is located at Sandviken Hospital and receives patients from all over Gävleborg County. Our largest diagnosis groups are stroke, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, MS, multi-trauma, and individuals with chronic pain. The activity ability of patients varies from total dependence to only needing support regarding memory, problem-solving, structure, speech, and more, making it difficult to participate in daily, family, leisure, and community life. At the Rehabilitation Medicine Department, you will be part of a team with various professional categories such as nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, rehabilitation assistants, psychologists, doctors, leisure leaders, and speech therapists.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work in a varied environment in close collaboration with other professionals in the unit. You will be part of the rehabilitation process and provide care on the ward, which continues around the clock.

As a nurse with us, you will among other things:

• be responsible for nursing care together with a nursing assistant
• contribute to the individual rehabilitation process
• manage medications.
