Our unit provides specialist care-based occupational therapy for inpatients at Hudiksvall Hospital as well as for patients referred from clinics at both Gävle and Hudiksvall hospitals. We are responsible for lymph therapy assignments within both primary and specialist care. Our team consists of occupational therapists with varying levels of experience, from newcomers to highly specialized professionals. You will collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants within the unit.

We have begun the work of integrating AI into our daily operations to enhance quality, patient safety, and workflows. Digital working methods are becoming increasingly central to our operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist with us, you will often work in a team and play a vital role in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients in need of specialized care. You will meet patients with complex and specific diagnoses, and your expertise will be an essential part of their rehabilitation. Occupational therapists in our unit work with several different inpatient departments; stroke, medicine, cardiac intensive care, orthopedics, surgery, and pediatrics. We also work with specialized outpatient care in areas such as hand therapy, rheumatology, neurology, external stroke teams, pediatrics, memory clinics, and lymph therapy.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with:

• assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients
• education and advice to healthcare staff and driving development in your area
• supervision of students after completing supervisor training.

We are looking for an engaged occupational therapist with experience and/or interest in inpatient care. As a person, you are flexible, responsible, and solution-oriented. You adapt easily and see opportunities in changes. You have the ability to plan and structure your work effectively and take responsibility for your tasks. You consider the whole, act, and make decisions based on the best interests of the organization in your daily work. You have good collaboration skills and are attentive in your interactions with others.

In the role of occupational therapist, you should:
