Do you want to help start our new dementia team?

We are now looking for three care assistants for our dementia team, which is organizationally part of home care and operates from the home care facilities. The dementia team will initially consist of nine employees and two dementia nurses, responsible for approximately 10-15 clients with dementia or cognitive impairment where there is a suspicion of dementia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a care assistant in the dementia team, you will work with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairment and their relatives. The work is varied and qualified, encompassing both care tasks and specialized duties related to dementia care.

Your tasks include personal care, delegated tasks within health and medical care, assessments and evaluations in BPSD, as well as collaborating with the team to develop and follow up on implementation plans and response plans. The working method is based on the national dementia strategy and is characterized by individualized, coordinated, and health-promoting efforts.

The team works evidence-based, and you will receive regular supervision from the municipality's dementia nurses. An important part of the role is also to provide support and guidance to relatives to enable sustainable caregiving.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with specialized training in dementia and has experience working with the quality register BPSD. You are confident in using assessment tools and have the ability to translate results into practical care work. To succeed in this role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills since documentation and follow-up are central parts of the job.

As a person, you are secure, responsible, and professional, with an empathetic approach and good collaboration skills. You enjoy working in a team with different professions, work in a structured and solution-focused manner, and have the ability to see the whole picture regarding the client and their relatives. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

For the position, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license (B).

Employment is contingent upon you providing a valid extract from the police criminal record. The extract can be ordered to a digital mailbox or by post. When ordering by post, processing time is usually one to two weeks.
