OCEAN BUS Stockholm Sightseeing is now looking for an engaged, structured, and inspiring Head Guide who wants to take responsibility for our guide team and ensure sightseeing experiences of the highest quality.

OCEAN BUS offers guided tours in an amphibious bus that takes our guests through the streets of Stockholm and straight into the water. As Head Guide, you will play a key role in developing both our guides and the overall guest experience.

About the role

As Head Guide, you will be responsible for recruitment, scheduling, training, and daily management of our guides. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and be ultimately responsible for the quality of the guiding and service on board.

Your main responsibilities:

• Personnel responsibility for guides (recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and follow-up)

• Scheduling and staffing of tours

• Training new guides in scripts, safety, and service

• Quality assurance of the content, tone, and delivery of the guiding

• Development and updating of guiding scripts and facts

• Ongoing feedback, follow-up, and employee conversations

• Handling guest feedback and complaints

• Being an operational guide when needed

• Collaboration with the Operations Manager regarding operations, safety, and business development

Who are you?

We are looking for a confident and coaching leader with a strong sense of service and excellent communication skills. You enjoy taking responsibility, structuring work, and creating engagement within the team.

We would like you to:

• Have experience in personnel management, preferably within tourism, the experience industry, or service

• Have excellent knowledge of English (required)

• Speak Swedish (required)

• Speak additional languages, e.g., German, French, or Spanish (meritorious)

• Be a skilled communicator and confident in front of a group

• Be structured, solution-oriented, and responsible

• Have good organizational skills and experience working with schedules

• Have an interest in Stockholm's history, culture, and attractions

• Have experience in guiding, training, or hosting (strongly meritorious)

• Be flexible and able to work daytime, evenings, and weekends during the season
