Do you want to work at one of Sweden's most iconic places? Become a Program Host at Skansen!

The Skansen Foundation is an open-air museum, a zoo, and a vibrant meeting place for celebrations, events, and community – all in a world-unique environment in the heart of Stockholm. Here, Sweden's culture, nature, and animals meet in settings designed to be explored over and over again. Each year, Skansen welcomes around 1.4 million guests of all ages, from Sweden and around the world.

Now you can become a part of our fantastic workplace!

We are currently looking for temporary staff for the program host group during the summer season, who want to help create magical experiences for our visitors.

What does a Program Host do?

No day is the same! You work throughout the park and are one of those who greet our guests with a smile and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

You will work with:

  • rides and lotteries at Galejan's Tivoli
  • activity management - you introduce and lead various activities (yes, you might get to teach games from the past!)
  • Welcoming the audience at stage programs such as Allsång på Skansen
  • Scanning tickets for concerts

The entire team works together to create wonderful experiences, focusing on service, safety, and good hospitality.

We believe that you:

  • enjoy meeting people and are good at providing service
  • have energy, are self-assured, and like to take responsibility
  • thrive in both sun and rain, in motion, and sometimes in completely still shifts
  • are at least 18 years old
  • speak Swedish and English fluently (other languages are a plus!)
  • have experience in the service industry – not a must, but meritorious

You recognize yourself in our values: Welcoming, Responsible, Together, and Surprising.

Good to know

  • Working hours vary – weekdays, evenings, and weekends
  • Start date by agreement
  • You need to be able to attend 2–3 introductory sessions at the beginning of the season

How to apply?

Diversity & Inclusion

Skansen is an employer that actively works for diversity and sees differences between people as a strength. We want to reflect the society we operate in and seek people of all ages and from all parts of the world. We work with an inclusive recruitment process, where competence and nothing else is at the center to find the right colleague. Therefore, we use selection questions and personality tests in all our recruitments. This is to compare candidates who meet the basic requirements in the most objective and fair way possible, without prejudice or preconceived notions based on gender, age, or origin.

Welcome to a truly fun summer job – right in Stockholm, but with the feeling of a world of its own.
