Primary Care within Region Jämtland Härjedalen

is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth clinics, and the local care department Näva, all of which are funded by grants. Within the primary care area, there is a good research climate and it has the status of a university hospital unit. Our R&D unit can assist with support and scientific guidance, primarily in collaboration with Umeå University.

Lits Health Center

is a well-functioning health center and workplace, with good routines and collaboration mixed with a large portion of innovation. We collaborate with all our colleagues in various professional categories to create good care and provide good conditions for patients. Currently, we have over 3750 registered patients, about 17 employees, and two unit managers in shared leadership. Our medical team consists of 3 specialists in general medicine, 2 residents, a temporary doctor, and a temporary assistant doctor. The team also includes district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Additionally, there is a psychosocial unit with a psychologist, social worker, and psychotherapist shared with Lugnvik, as well as a rehabilitation coordinator, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. In the same building, there are maternal and child health services. We are responsible for two nursing homes.

Our health center is located about 20 kilometers outside the city center, near the Indals River, with opportunities for great running routes, cycling trips, or walks. We have a high ceiling, a good atmosphere where we help each other, and we want to create a good working environment together. We want to be at the forefront and constantly develop.

Warm welcome to us!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary care is in the midst of the transition to close care, which means, among other things, a responsibility for fewer patients in favor of an increased responsibility for our most vulnerable elderly. We work based on the concept of expanded primary care, which also means increased opportunities for home visits and thus being able to provide security to the patients who need it most.

The work as a specialist in general medicine involves responsibility for a geographical area with outpatient visits, emergency visits, home visits, qualified telephone consultations, and in-depth medication reviews. We have a weekly doctors' meeting with a joint referral review and, in addition, time allocated for development work. Occasional on-call duties are included in the work.

We are responsible for four nursing homes, including short-term placements, and have a well-functioning collaboration with the district nurses in home healthcare. Within the framework of your employment, there is an opportunity for side assignments within nursing homes, maternal care, and child health. Supervision of candidates and training doctors is included in the work. Due to the fact that primary care has the status of a university hospital unit, the position includes teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a curious and interested specialist doctor in general medicine who is interested in primary care and wants to develop our health center together with us. Independent research and research supervision are meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.

We see that you are genuinely interested in primary care, self-driven, take responsibility, and want to contribute to a good atmosphere in the workgroup.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
