About us Skyddsvärnet – established in 1910 is a non-profit organization that works to prevent social exclusion through professional interventions that provide help for self-help. Rockesholm HVB is part of Skyddsvärnet – established in 1910 and offers individualized care and treatment in a safe and calm environment for women and men from 18 years old with substance abuse issues and comorbidity. We are located in Grythyttan, seventy kilometers northwest of Örebro, and have provided round-the-clock care with 24 places since 1987.
About the role We are now looking for a medically responsible nurse (MAS) at 50% who will primarily work at Rockesholm in Grythyttan but also assist at the Per Aspera facility located centrally in Örebro.
As the medically responsible nurse at Rockesholm, you have a central and versatile role in our operations. You are responsible for the medical admission and make the initial assessment of new patients. In your daily work, you assess and treat physical and mental health issues within the framework of your authority, in close collaboration with our consulting physician.
You manage medications according to delegation, book doctor appointments, and prepare medical certificates and prescriptions. As the training manager, you lead training in medication management for staff with delegation as well as CPR training for all employees.
An important part of your role is to actively participate in and drive our quality work. You use our deviation system, suggest improvements as a process owner, and evaluate the operations within healthcare annually through process reports to management.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for documentation in accordance with legal requirements within the field of healthcare for each individual patient.
· Responsible for collaborating with KMS to establish and document routines within the field of healthcare and communicate these to the relevant staff.
· Monitor changes in the regulations that encompass your professional responsibility, including pharmacy control.
· Perform medication management according to the consulting physician's orders.
· Coordination responsibility within the field of healthcare towards customers and other providers and establish contact with providers at home regarding referrals and medications.
· Responsible for urine samples and random drug tests on clients and staff as well as sending drug tests for analysis.
· Introduction and training in medication management for all relevant employees.
· Documentation according to legal requirements and in accordance with the quality system's description.
· To change in the medication list and dosages after the responsible consulting physician has made a decision regarding medication changes.
· Communicate changes in legal and customer requirements within the field of healthcare to the relevant staff through information at staff meetings and other handover occasions.
· Responsible for the dispensing and collection of tests and consult a physician in case of SU-risk.
Qualifications
· Holds a nursing license
· Has relevant competence in the profession and experience of similar work
· Has a professional and credible demeanor towards patients, partners, and colleagues
· Is interested in working with quality development and training
Employment conditions
Scope: Part-time, 50%
Employment form: Permanent or temporary
Salary: Fixed monthly salary according to agreement
