About You

We are looking for you with a medical degree or a decision of eligibility from the National Board of Health and Welfare if the degree was obtained outside of the Nordic countries.

It is important that you have medical competence and relevant medical knowledge. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Good communication skills.

Desirable qualifications:

• Previous experience as a junior doctor, teaching experience.
• Ability to collaborate. Good ability to exchange information and cooperate with colleagues.
• Problem-solving ability. Can anticipate and understand problems and how they may affect the patient, the organization, and other stakeholders.
• Judgment. Ability to make decisions based on knowledge and facts and understand cause/effect relationships.
• Initiative and creativity. Can plan and execute tasks without detailed instructions and come up with constructive suggestions.
• Self-awareness and personal maturity. Understand how one’s own behavior contributes to good care and to one’s own and the patient’s safety.

Interviews will take place from March 9-11 at the Kalmar County Hospital.

About the Position

As a resident doctor, you will serve for 21 months, of which one month is a flexible placement. Hospital placement and psychiatric placement will be at the Kalmar County Hospital. Primary care placement is located in one of the following municipalities in our region: Kalmar, Nybro, Torsås, Emmaboda, Mörbylånga, Borgholm, Mönsterås, or Oskarshamn. Resident start dates: 260831 (8 positions) or 261130 (8 positions).
