Our Operations

The Elderly Services Unit is responsible for individuals over 65 years old who need care and support services from the municipality. Decisions are made based on the Social Services Act and implemented by providers in both external and internal management. The workgroup consists of caseworkers for elderly services, caseworkers for housing adaptation grants, fee caseworkers, group leaders, and unit managers. Employees in the unit are driven by the desire to develop to meet future challenges and demands. We have well-established collaboration with other stakeholders and providers, which is a prerequisite for ensuring the quality of elderly care.

Your Mission

We are looking for a housing coordinator who is inspired by change work and wants to be actively involved in the development of elderly care in Värmdö Municipality. The mission requires knowledge of applicable legislation and guidelines within elderly care, as well as knowledge of how needs based on disease diagnoses and symptoms can be met within special housing.

The main task of the housing coordinator is to place individuals with decisions regarding special housing, short-term care, or respite care based on applicable legislation and the municipality's guidelines. In dialogue with the individual, caseworkers, and relatives, and through collaboration with the provider, the housing coordinator should create good conditions for the placement. Together with the unit manager, the housing coordinator is involved in developing forecasts and follow-ups regarding volumes and costs for the unit's purchase of housing places.

Your Experience

• You need to have at least three years of higher education in social work, healthcare, or another relevant field.
• Experience in authority exercise.
• Good communication skills in speech and writing, as well as high digital competence.

Meritorious

• Experience in similar assignments where contract writing and procurement have been part of the role.
• Experience in investigation and follow-up according to the IBIC method.
