At the Department of Mathematical Sciences, there are many dedicated teachers with extensive and broad experience in all aspects of teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. We are appreciated by students and are constantly seeking opportunities to develop, for example by utilizing new technology and mathematical software. Our goal is to be a leader in mathematics education at the highest international level.

We teach a wide range of courses across several different programs at the two universities and conduct internationally successful research in both theoretical and applied mathematics. For the academic year 2026/27, the Department of Mathematical Sciences is looking for individuals with a strong interest in mathematics and who are good at conveying their knowledge to others.

We primarily target students who are in the final stages of their second year of undergraduate studies or later. You should have knowledge in mathematics corresponding to the first two years of the mathematics program at the University of Gothenburg or the engineering programs F or TM at Chalmers.
