Your new job

Do you want to help shape a school where the individual is always in focus? At Nordskogen School, all staff collaborate closely regardless of job category, all to give students the best possible conditions. We continuously adapt teaching at both individual and group levels and have the opportunity for a very flexible, unpretentious, and staff-rich operation where we think outside the given frameworks together.

At the school, we see the whole day as a learning experience where we work together. In the role of counselor, you work closely with other staff at the school to shape the best possible schooling for our students. You work health-promoting, preventive, and remedial in the operation, in classrooms, and in collaboration with others in the EHT.

Examples of tasks:

• Contribute a psychosocial perspective to the school's health-promoting and preventive work
• Social mapping and observations
• Provide psychosocial perspectives to school management, EHT, and other colleagues at the school
• Offer counseling support to students based on school situations
• Give advice and support to guardians
• Collaborate with external actors such as BUP, social services, habilitation, and police

Welcome to us

Nordskogen is a resource school. The school is Jönköping Municipality's ultimate operation concerning students with a focus on special support. The target group is students from grade two to grade nine with extensive needs over time, both academically, socially, and psychologically. Currently, we have 20 students enrolled at the school.

The school is located on Huskvarnaberget with nature just nearby. The school started in August 2022, and in February 2023, we moved into completely renovated premises adapted to the operation's focus.

Our students are met daily by very engaged and experienced staff consisting of various job categories. We work relationally and have close contacts between school, student, and guardians to create a safe environment for our students. The importance of a tailored approach based on the student's specific needs is central to the operation.

Your competence

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and a few years of experience working as a school counselor. It is advantageous if you have experience from similar operations and experience in meeting students with NPF. You have basic IT skills, good knowledge of the Swedish language, and are communicatively skilled in both speech and writing.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
