JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a dedicated and responsible social worker for our reception group within the children and youth unit in Eksjö municipality. Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with children and young people and their families, while also being part of a pleasant workplace with strong collegial support and development opportunities.

The reception group is the first point of contact for children, young people, and their families when the need for support arises. Our mission is to conduct preliminary assessments, receive reports of concern and applications, and provide advice and support. We work closely with both internal and external partners to ensure a safe and legally secure process for the children and young people we encounter.

As a social worker in the children and youth reception group, you will:

• receive and assess incoming reports and applications.
• conduct urgent protection and risk assessments.
• carry out preliminary assessments and decide whether cases should proceed to investigation.
• maintain close contact with children, young people, guardians, and partners.
• provide advice, support, and guidance both by phone and in personal meetings.
• document and make decisions in accordance with applicable legislation.
• provide information and explain the social services' mission (to specific groups, partners, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work or another qualification that meets the requirements set by the National Board of Health and Welfare for work in social services for children and youth.

You have:

• good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and other relevant legislation.
• analytical skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• confidence, structure, and the ability to collaborate well with both colleagues and external partners.
• experience working with children, young people, or exercising authority within social work (preferable).
• a valid driver's license for manual transmission.
