About the psychiatric specialist clinic Värmdö

The psychiatric specialist clinic Värmdö became part of Psychiatry South Stockholm on April 1, 2025. We offer high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health issues. Our goal is to create a safe and inspiring environment where both patients and staff can grow and thrive. Through close collaboration and interdisciplinary work, we strive to offer individualized and evidence-based treatment.

Here, psychologists, doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and case managers work together in interdisciplinary teams. We offer evidence-based assessment, investigation, and treatment both individually and in groups.

The clinic is located in the center of Gustavsberg near Gustavsberg harbor with good communications to Stockholm, about 25 minutes by bus from Slussen. By car from Södermalm approximately 20–25 minutes.

Your role as a medical secretary

As a medical secretary/administrative nurse, you are a very important part of the clinic. In your role, you will be responsible for writing and documenting patient records in the Take Care journal system from dictation and other notes. Ensure that journal management and archiving are done correctly. Staff the clinic's reception and phone, greet patients, relatives, and colleagues. Work with various care and IT systems such as Take Care, TeleQ, Webcert, and Clockwork. Support in planning the operations, schedule appointments, coordinate times for the team's various functions, and solve daily needs that may arise. Provide administrative support to the clinic's various professional groups and ensure that KVÅ coding follows the clinic's guidelines.

Our expectations of you

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary or has extensive experience in administrative work within psychiatric outpatient care. You have a good command of the Swedish language and good knowledge of medical terminology as well as good skills in TakeCare and the Microsoft Office package. You feel comfortable in patient contact both physically at the reception and over the phone.

You are independent, meticulous, responsible, clear, and contribute to a good work environment. You are used to handling several parallel tasks at the same time and can prioritize between them. You find learning new things challenging and are not afraid to ask questions. You are a problem solver in the challenges of everyday work. You can handle stress constructively and are flexible. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position is a one-year temporary position at 100%, 39.5 hours/week, with start date according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible.   • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
